The three kings of SEO are important tools to use, as these will help with ranking your website (so it's best not to forget them).

1ST KING- URL

The first king is of course, the "URL." Think of a URL like an Address on the Internet

Imagine you’re planning to visit your favourite coffee shop. You can’t just say “take me to the coffee shop” and hope your GPS figures it out. You need a specific address.

A URL (Uniform Resource Locator) is the exact same thing—but for the internet.

Whenever you want to visit a webpage, download a file, or stream your favourite cat video compilation, your browser needs to know exactly where to go. That’s what the URL is for.

Let’s take one apart:

https://www.coffeelovers.com/blog/exotic-brews-2025

Each part has a job:

  • https:// → This is the protocol. It’s like saying “Hey, take the secure road, please.” It tells your browser how to communicate with the site (and whether it’s secure).

  • www.coffeelovers.com → This is the domain name. It's the name of the website—basically, the online building you're trying to enter.

  • /blog/exotic-brews-2025 → This is the path. It’s like saying, “Walk through the front door, take a left, and head to the blog section about coffee.”

2ND KING - Meta Description

You’ve probably seen a meta description hundreds of times without even realizing it.

Imagine this: you Google something like “Exotic coffee brewing methods,” and up pops a list of results. Under each title, there’s a little snippet of text that gives you a quick preview of what the page is about.

That little snippet? That’s the meta description.

Meta descriptions matter because they can be used to explain: What your site is about, Hook viewers and encourage them to click onto your link, add keywords so when Google's algorithm crawls your site they will spot the keywords and potentially rank you higher.

A good meta description should have the following:

  • No more than 160 characters long (Google will cut it off once reached.)

  • Clearly summarize what the page is about.

  • Relevant keywords are inserted naturally.

3RD KING - H-1 TITLE

Let’s get real for a second. first impressions matter—a lot, especially online. When someone lands on your blog post, the very first thing they see (besides your header image) is your H1 title. It’s more than just a big, bold line of text.

The H1 (short for Heading 1) is the main headline of your blog post. It tells both readers and search engines what your content is all about.

Think of it as the title of a book cover, it should grab attention, set expectations, and invite people to read more.

Want your H1 to do its job? Here are a few quick tips:

  • Keep it focused – Don’t try to cover too much.

  • Use your target keyword – Naturally! No stuffing.

  • Make it compelling: Add power words like “Ultimate,” “Step-by-Step,” “Easy,” “2025,” or “Must-Know”.

  • Avoid clickbait: Be clever, but stay honest. Trust matters.

Together, your URL, meta description, and H1 title form you're blog post’s first impression. Nail all three, and you’ll have a better chance of ranking well, getting more clicks, and engage people longer.
